RIP Piggy Boy - Always in our hearts

PIGGY BOY - ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS

Piggy Boy joined my family in 2004, he was already 3 years old. Pigs nature was so wonderfully loving and calm. I did not adopt Piggy with the intension of breeding with him, he was a desexed pet quality dog.  I had seen the Australian Bulldog on Burkes Back Yard a few years earlier and had decided then that I wanted one of these gorgeous natured dogs, and Piggy was my first.

I remember the first time I met Pig, I couldn't beleive how placid and loving he was. Absolutely everyone who met Piggy Boy loved him, people were stopping me on the street asking what breed he was, and his personality and his nature won the hearts of all. In the 4 years we owned Pig, he brought much joy and happiness into our hearts and home.

Piggy had been with us for 4 years when I decided to purchase another Australian Bulldog, this was Princess Pooki. Piggy adopted her as his own, as can be seen in the above pic. They became wonderful friends, then one day Piggy was attacked by a family friends dog and suffered heart failure. He swelled up all over and became listless. We put him on fortekor heart tablets, but it was just his time. Piggy Boy was only 8 years old when he died, it was a very sad day for all of us, Pook pined over him for weeks to come. He was a wonderful man.

It was at this time I began looking into the breeding programmes and what thier goals were and decided to purchase another Australian Bulldog male and become a part of establishing this amazing breed with the A.B.S.as they were the only registry not still actively registering direct cross litters, only Australian Bulldog over Australian Bulldog. Janice Evans from BUNDYBULL has been an amazing help to me setting up my kennels, I would like to take this time to thank her for her help and support.  I would suggest to anyone wanting information on this amazing breed, to contact Janice janice@bundybullkennels.com you won't find a nicer more helpful person than Janice.
